Ekkehard Ernst, Chief of the ILO Global Unemployment Unit
is in charge of the team who drafted this report.
He told VOA reporters in Geneva
that the rate of youth unemployment in the Middle East
will become worse within the next five years.
Ekkehard Ernst expects that the unemployment rate
of youth in the Middle East will increase
from 26% to 28% within 5 years.
As for North Africa, the situation is better because
it's expected that the youth unemployment rate will decrease slightly
from the current unemployment rate of 27%.
