Professor Thitinan Pongsudhirak
from the Political Science department at Chulalongkorn University said that
Prime Minister Yingluck is in a tight political corner.
Professor Thitinan spoke with reporters saying
the demands that occurred at this time
are a type of civilian coup
that has movement
which received support of the Democrat Party machinary.
This scholar said that
the movement's supporters at this time
are a large number of voters
who feel fed up and disappointed with the electoral system
and the elected representatives
in Thailand's democratic system
over the past several years.
