the reason is
that Thai rice price guarantee policy.
The government will buy rice at high prices and store it
to support the Thai farmers.
But it's difficult to sell that rice in the market
because the rice is too expensive,
making each country like Vietnam
India, Pakistan and Myanmar
fight for market share in this area
with Vietnam's main competitor being India.
