The chairman of the National Turkey Federation said that
corn is the number one ingredient in turkey feed.
But drought conditions made corn prices rise this year
and at the same time the corn itself
is in high demand from factories that produce ethanol,
a liquid chemical that's mixed
in gas called gasohol.
