Janelle Rivas, age 14,
another student mentor,
told VOA reporters that
student mentors are more effective than adults
in helping to reduce problem of smoking in young students.
She said that younger students will listen more to older students
because they're in a similar age group.
Scholars and experts
indicate that it's very important to campaign
against smoking to school children.
Because if children start smoking at a young age,
quitting will be much harder.
