David Mepham showed concern that
war robots in that future may be unable to differentiate
between a person holding a weapon and a child holding ice cream,
which will cause the world to go back to the times of waging barbaric wars again.
To prevent this from happening, Human Rights Watch tries to push forward for having
agreements between countries to ban weapon development
of killer robots
similar to the agreement prohibiting the use of land mines and cluster bombs,
even though armed forces of the US and many additional countries insisted that they don't have plans to use these military technologies
without human control or decision making.
