Esther David, is a Jewish Indian writer who lives in Ahmedabad.
She is one of the first Jews
who tried to persuade the Hitler clothing store owners to change the store's name.
Mrs. David told VOA reporters that
we forget easily.
Short memories occur
because we don't give importance to history,
but give too much importance to trade and commerce.
She said that if we forget history,
the evil that happened in the past will happen again.
