He said that when students are pressured,
bullied, ridiculed or harmed,
students are unable to concentrate on their studies
so they don't succeed in learning as they should.
Skyler Jackson, training program director, said that
teachers in schools throughout California
need to deal with these problems by following state laws
that protect the rights of homosexual students
and bisexuals from being ridiculed and bullied in school.
The state revised these laws 12 years ago.
