Institutes involving both the US, Europe
as well as the World Health Organization
and food and agriculture programs at the United Nations
conclude that food products from genetically modified plants
that are presently sold in stores
are as safe as other normal products.
However, trust of the public in this matter
will be tested next month
when California voters
will vote on whether or not there should be food labels to specify genetically modified plant ingredients.
