Grocery Manufacturers Association
reports that 80% of packaged foods
that are sold in supermarkets across the United States
have genetically modified plant ingredients.
The people against GM foods in California
used the results of the recent study
about the effects from GM corn
causing tumors in lab rats,
as a demand
for having labels on all foods
that have GM plant ingredients
and campaigned for what is called "Yes on 37",
for the public throughout the US to sign up to support this demand
within this next month.
