Mr. Wurdeman, vinyard owner in Georgia said that
the Russian wine market needs wine in large amounts
regardless of quality.
He said that drinking wine has been the old way of life
of Georgians for several thousands of years,
but more Russians have recently started to drink wine
instead of drinking vodka.
French winemaker Jacques Fleury
who takes care of the Chateau Mukhrani vineyard,
winemaker of another brand of Georgian wine said that
the import ban of Georgian wine by the Russian government
made Georgia develop better quality wines.
