As for taxes, the main issue is the tax cut measures
which have been in use since the time of President George W. Bush
expiring at the end of this year,
that will cause the tax rate of every American to increase
no matter how much their income.
The Republican Party wants to prolong the use of these tax cut measures into the future
affecting every American.
But President Obama doesn't want for these tax benefits
to apply to wealthy Americans,
namely families that have combined incomes over 250,000 dollars per year
which the Republican Party vigorously opposes.
And it looks like both sides are in a political deadlock
because they're still unable to agree on this issue.
