This Human Rights Watch official indicates that
this is the time for countries to use their bargaining power
with Egyptian officials, especially the Egyptian army,
because the situation in Egypt is in a state of rapidly increasing violence.
The European Union indicated it will urgently review its relationship with Egypt.
Leaders at the European Commission and the European Council
put out a lengthy official statement this past Sunday
to indicate that demands for democracy and fundamental rights should not to be violated.
European leaders of both councils showed concern
that the violence in Egypt will impact other countries on the continent.
