spoke with VOA reporters in Phnom Penh that
now laws to penalize acid throwers are having an effect
but still lacking in the area of laws to control the sale of acid.
This latter measure is important
because it will help prevent the easy purchase of acid for attacks.
While rights advocates try pushing this matter forward
victims who were splashed with acid, like Som Bunnarith
try to go on with their lives
and hope one day they will receive justice.
